Jakob Lkk is an award-winning and internationally performing improviser and composer, playing piano, synthesizer and organ. He studied composition at Goldsmiths, university of London, organ and improvisation at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, and privately with Loïc Mallié, successor of Olivier Messiaen at La Trinité in Paris. Also known as Jacob Lekkerkerker, organist of the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam from 2007 to 2022, he founded ground-breaking music series for the cathedral space, with musicians such as Leonard Eto, Herman Kolgen, Claire M Singer, Zeno van den Broek, Ellen Arkbro, Diamanda Dramm, Nicolas Jaar and Philip Glass.
